After
the first meeting in 1998 the Sugarmillers have tried to have a meeting
every two years. Some men have gone the way of old soldiers and others
have joined to experience the camaraderie. In 2000 we met in Houston, TX and
had an excellent meeting hosted by Dave and Georgia Ward and Jack Thomas.
In 2003 the meeting was held in Sebastopol, CA and hosted by Jim and Judy
Smith. The 2004 meeting was held at the home of Rich and
Martha O'Hare of Powhatan, VA. Our last meeting was held in May 0f
2006 in Kissimmee, FL. We have members in California, Texas,
Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Florida.
The Sugarmillers are looking for Navy Riverine
Forces who served out of Tra Cu, South Vietnam and often visited Team 43.
Vietnamese who served in the RF/PF are also encouraged to get in
touch. Having some of the men we served so closely with at the next
meeting would
be a bonus!
